#2 / 2010 Category: ECOLOGICAL PROBLEMS OF REGIONBasic environmental consequences of railway construction planned by the project “Ural Industrial – Ural Polar” have been considered in the paper. The authors consider the territory of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District, which is based on the materials of the 20-year period of researches and comparison to the already functioning similar objects in the region under investigation.

#3 / 2011 Category: NATURAL-RESOURCES POTENTIAL OF THE REGIONThis paper reviews the problem of forest capital reproduction in the value concept from the standpoint of multi-functional model of forest management in terms of the lease relations. The theoretical formation of forest regeneration funding mechanism is based on its market organization. The concept of forest resources reproduction based on the definition of gross income is proposed. The funding mechanism of forest resources reproduction in terms of their lease is described. The proposed concept of forest capital reproduction remains one of the central ideas of Marx's economic theory that is nowadays commonly called "double-system approach" or "dual system approach", within which value and price categories are used simultaneously. The notion of forest reproduction policy is formulated. The author concludes on the need for forest reproduction policy in the Russian Federation to receive independent legal regulation with pragmatic and responsible steps to create the investment potential for the reproduction of forest resources.

#3 / 2012 Category: ENVIRONMENTAL AND RECOURSE POTENTIAL OF REGIONThis paper deals with current socio-ecological situation in the field of traditional nature management in Yamal region of Yamal-Nenets autonomous district that takes place against a background of industrial development of hydrocarbon deposits. The emergence of critical situations in the main branches of traditional nature management — reindeer herding and fishery is demonstrated. In reindeer herding the situation is critical mainly due to internal factors — as a result of actions of the Nenets themselves, with their unbridled desire to breed reindeer. Industrial development only exacerbates the problem but is not its main cause. In the fishery, the crisis is caused by external factors — commercial demand when low-control illegal fishing has led to an increase of loads on fish supplies. Strict dependence of indigenous people from biological resources poses a real threat to their existence as an ethnic group.

#4 / 2012 Category: SOCIO-ECONOMIC PROBLEMS OF REGIONSThe data on the fish fauna and fish food resources in the Bovanenkovo gas field are presented. The estimation of fishery and fishery potential of water bodies, hydrobiological characteristics of water bodies in the studied area are given. It is shown that the arrangement of the gas field leads to overfishing BGKM fish and change the state of aquatic ecosystems associated with the violation of runoff, backfilling flood waters, crossing streams communications, water diversion, pollution, sand mining. The hydrobionts reaction to anthropogenic influence in the area of the gas field developmentis identified and recommendations to reduce the impact on aquatic ecosystems in the period of construction are given.

#3 / 2015 Category: AGRICULTURAL AND FOOD MARKET: NEW VECTOR OF DEVELOPMENTIn the article, the results of the studies of the present state of freshwater ecosystems and their biotic components in the western part of the Yamal Peninsula are presented. Based on the evaluation of the structure of the communities of phytoplankton, zooplankton, benthos and whitefishes, the range of the problems related to the protection of biological resources at the development of the Kruzenshternskoye gas field is defined. Data on species composition and quantitative indicators of hydrobionts of different types of waterbodies and watercourses in the lower reaches of the Mordyyakha and Naduyyakha rivers basins are the basis for environmental monitoring of water objects at development and exploitation of the Kruzenshternskoye gas field. According to the monitoring program, evaluation of the fish fauna state and their food base on the territory of the Kruzenshternskoye gas condensate field (GCF), is present. The zones of rivers deltas are the most important areas of the salmonid and whitefishes valuable fish species feeding at the territory of Kruzenshternskoye GCF. In the cases where complete demolish of waterbodies and watercourses for construction of facilities for GCF does not occur, changes of quantitative and qualitative characteristics of communities of hydrobionts after cease of works are reversible. River ecosystems are restored within a more short period of time in comparison to lacustrine ones. On the basis of conducted comprehensive studies, the proposals for the protection of fisheries resources and monitoring of aquatic ecosystems are reported. Recommendations for reducing the anthropogenic impact on aquatic ecosystems in the development period are presented. The results of the investigation were used in the designing the environmental protection part of the Kruzenshternskoye deposit project. At present, the disturbances in the territory of Kruzenshternskoye deposit of gas does not impact the aquatic ecosystems.

#1 / 2016 Category: REGIONAL SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC PROBLEMSThe most common international standards for the non-financial reporting are reviewed. The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is determined as an optimal standard of sustainability reporting for the use in the Russian conditions. The environmental component of guidance on the compilation of G4 non-financial reporting of GRI standard is analyzed, the contribution of each aspect in terms of the overall picture of sustainability is determined. The progress of economic science has outlined the importance of incorporating natural components. Moreover, the value of biological resources would be increased through time, and therefore, the economic development of the company cannot be in isolation. To determine the degree of harmony between the economic development and ecological condition of the territory where the company carries out the economic activities, the application of new approaches and methods is necessary. Based on the statistical methods, a correlation model between economic development and environmental performance is developed to identify their relationship on the basis of non-financial reporting. The developed model of correlation can be used by a wide range of oil and gas companies and its general principles by the companies of different industries. The results may be of interest to stakeholders, also, it can be used for administrative purposes, to serve as a platform for forecasting and adoption of administrative decisions to achieve harmony between economic development and environmental performance. The model of correlation has been tested for the data of non-financial reporting of the Russian largest oil and gas company JSC “Surgutneftegas”. The testing has shown a positive relationship between the two systems of the company’s sustainable development: economy and ecology. This obtained result demonstrates a high level of social responsibility of the company in terms of environmental protection. A further study in this field can produce more profound results that would help to achieve a wide sustainable development.
